r/androiddev – Reddit android app : what pattern is used to navigate/open their “modals” on top of the rest of the UI ?

I’m Utilizing Android structure patterns with : Navigation Graph, NavHost in a really primary / customary manner

– Materials AppBarLayout + Toolbar

– NavHostFragment

All customary for now, however now how can I navigate to a fraction like it’s executed in Reddit App when :

– clicking on the Search icon

– clicking on any submit to see it

Tried BottomSheemDialogFragment with out success.
Is it a brand new exercise with one other devoted NavHostFragment ? :'(
