Post House is a minimalist boutique lodge positioned in Charleston, South Carolina, designed by Kate and Ben Towill of Basic Projects. The historic restaurant acquired an entire top-down renovation, which now consists of a ground-floor tavern and bar together with seven cozy lodge rooms positioned above.
Along with the restaurant is a second ground non-public occasions area dubbed the “Rose Room,” outfitted with a bar and a plethora of huge glazings bringing in loads of mild through the day. The lodge is a wedding of historic attraction and trendy facilities.
Kate Towill, who lead the design for the challenge, reimagined the area by shifting the bar to face Pitt Road, whereas the primary eating room moved to the again, which opened up the out of doors courtyard. Every area is outfitted with a novel layer of classic rugs, handcrafted fixtures and native artwork – by which they partnered with Charleston Artwork Collective.
